Who We Are

Founded in January of 2026, The Rebel Student Investment Group was founded on a simple belief: the best way to learn investing is to actually do it. We are a student-managed investment fund at the University of Mississippi, built to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world financial practice. What started as an idea to give elite finance and accounting students a more serious platform has grown into a live portfolio where every decision carries real consequence and real opportunity.

RSIG develops the skills that finance careers actually require. Members graduate with hands-on experience in equity research, portfolio management, and risk assessment. Through sector teams, leadership roles, and structured investment processes, our students build the judgment, discipline, and professional fluency to compete from day one. Donors who support RSIG are not funding a club. They are investing in the next generation of financial leaders.

We manage a diversified portfolio using the same tools and frameworks as industry professionals. Our students conduct fundamental and technical analysis, build valuation models, and present formal stock pitches to an investment committee. Every position we take is researched, debated, and defended.
